From Concept to Worn Jewellery 3D Modelling and Photorealistic Rendering for the Jewellery Industry

The need
Every project in the jewellery sector begins in a different way.
Large companies often have ready-made CAD models for product development, whilst many designers, goldsmiths and artisan workshops simply start with a hand-drawn sketch.
In both cases, the aim is the same: to present the jewellery with high-quality images, showcase its design and create effective content for marketing, e-commerce, catalogues and sales, without having to wait for the final production or organise costly photo shoots.

The solution
At FST 3D, we call ourselves Digital Artisans because we support the project through every stage of its development.
If the client has a CAD model, we optimise it and transform it into photorealistic renderings, animations and digital content.
This workflow makes it possible to turn CAD models into reusable content for marketing and sales.
If, on the other hand, the project starts with a sketch, we reconstruct the piece of jewellery through a high-precision 3D modelling process, interpreting shapes, proportions and details until we achieve a digital model faithful to the original idea.
A similar process is used for high-precision 3D modelling from sketches and concepts in the footwear sector.
This same 3D model then becomes the basis for creating photorealistic renderings, images of the jewellery worn by digitally generated models, and content for marketing purposes.
Where it can be used
The 3D model can be used to create content for:
e-commerce;
Catalogues and brochures;
Advertising campaigns;
Social media;
Websites;
Marketplaces;
Sales presentations;
Materials for agents and retailers;
Trade fairs and events;
Packaging;
Launches of new collections.
Every piece of jewellery is crafted by the hands of an artisan. We bring it to life through our communications.
The benefits
Thanks to 3D modelling, the customer can:
start with a sketch or a CAD model;
visualise the piece of jewellery before production;
create photorealistic images of the highest quality;
produce images of the jewellery being worn without the need for a photo shoot;
easily update materials, gemstones, finishes and variations;
reduce the time and cost of content production;
maintain consistent communication across all channels.
Behind the solution
Every project begins with a careful analysis of the jewellery design.
Starting from a sketch or a CAD model, we develop a high-precision 3D model, faithfully recreating the geometry, precious metals, gemstones, engravings and finishes.
We then create photorealistic materials, set up professional lighting and produce high-resolution renderings, ready for use in any communication activity.
The same digital model can be reused over time to create new variations, update collections and develop further content without having to start from scratch.
When CAD data is unavailable, it is also possible to reconstruct a professional 3D model from product photographs.
